  • Bollywood

Who can't help loving Bollywood music? We certainly do! We believe "Bollywood" is not just one specific style of dance, but a collage of many dance styles set to chart-topping Bollywood songs. Take Bollywood dance class at ICC, offered by the Mona Sampath Khan Dance Company! The company doesn't need much introduction - from performing with Shah Rukh Khan to making it to the top 48 (out of 17,000 acts across the country) in current season of the NBC show 'America's Got Talent' - this group not only knows Bollywood, but is reinventing it. 

Classes start the week of September 18th and are offered for kids and adults! 8 weeks of classes culminate in an on-stage performance - which only happens twice a year.  Register Now

  • India Immersion

Learn about India's history, geography, cuisine, dance, music, language and sports through visual, tactile and experiential activities designed to stimulate your child's imagination about all things Indian. This program allows children to explore Indian culture through songs, games, storytelling and hands-on activities. New classes starting soon.

 
 
  •  Language

Learning a second or third language is a very powerful tool in an ever shrinking world. Classes are for kids and adults. This program will teach you Hindi or Urdu conversational, the alphabets and rudimentary writing as well. Language will be introduced via songs, stories, role play and various other activities.

Vedic Math

'Vedic Mathematics' is the name given to the ancient system of mathematics developed in India around 1500-900 BCE. This unique technique of doing calculations is based on simple rules and principles, with which any mathematical problem - be it arithmetic, algebra, geometry or trigonometry - can be solved orally!
On seeing this kind of Mathemathical work actually being performed by the little children many people ask:- ‘Is this mathematics or magic? ‘It is both. It is magic until you understand it; and it is mathematics thereafter’

Imagine designing your own dress the way you want to and not pay an arm and a leg for it.

This class is perfect for total beginners . First, we’ll go over the attachments and tools used in sewing, how to sew all types of seams, stitches, machine tension and troubleshooting. You’ll leave with a simple completed garment and the skills to make more!

Good performance in STAR test is a prerequisite for GATE program and is essential for success in California public school. The STAR test (Math) preparation course will help students achieve a higher score and perform better in school. The course will cover all math topics that are part of STAR testing in CA. Student will learn test taking techniques and solve sample STAR test questions during last two weeks.

Ever wanted to know the intricacies of how a film is conceived, produced and brought to the Silver Screen! Ever wonder why it is called “Silver Screen”?  Hari Mahesh, a filmmaker in the bay area will carry out this workshop that will cover the nuts and bolts of filmmaking from concept to distribution. It will be a hand’s on workshop with relevant theory in all aspects of filmmaking (development, pre-production, production, post-production and distribution).  Hari has two upcoming films one set in Bollywood and one in Hollywood that are going into production in 2010 and 2011 respectively. Fun Drawing:

This class is designed for new artists to develop interest in art. Students will learn how to construct simple lines and proportions, and know the basics of colors and their properties. There would be times doing art crafts like making cards, Origami and more. Helps students to develop artistic sense.

Realistic Drawing:

This class is designed for experienced artists to develop better skills in descriptive drawing. Students will learn more on lines, colors, proportions and perspective arrangements, presenting their drawings in a realistic way. There will be times doing practice drawings on fashion and interior design; this is to help students to understand and combine real life applications with art
